I wish for Bob Dylan to retire gracefully. I believe that if he goes now, he can hold on to the prestige of his previously genius career.
Going now would mean people might forget about this new Christmas album. It would be remembered in passing as the last thing he did maybe; but the real recognition would remain for his work pre-90's.
I want to remember his making fun of Donovan, yelling at members of the press and above all the beautiful music. I don't want the memory to be darkened and diminished by an old man dancing around a Christmas tree with a stupid wig on.
